Tapjoy facts checked
Torox and Tapjoy, side by side. Every fact sourced and dated.
Torox has run offerwalls for publishers since 2012. This page compares how you join, where the wall runs, how you are paid and who supports you.
What is a good Tapjoy alternative for reward sites and apps?
If you run a reward site, a GPT platform or a reward app, Torox gives you an offerwall on web, Android and iOS through one publisher account. You can sign up without prepayment or a commitment, theme the wall to your brand, and get paid monthly on net-30 terms by bank transfer or PayPal.

What changed with the Tapjoy offerwall in 2026?
Tapjoy is now part of Unity Grow. On 1 February 2026 Unity launched a rebuilt offerwall publisher dashboard and said the legacy Tapjoy dashboard would be deprecated at a later date. Publishers now open it from the Unity Dashboard, and Android apps need Tapjoy SDK 14.1.0 or later to meet Google’s 16 KB page size rule.
-
ironSource agrees to buy Tapjoy for about $400 million.
-
ironSource completes the acquisition.
-
Unity completes its merger with ironSource, and Tapjoy becomes part of Unity.
-
Google requires 16 KB page size support for new apps and updates targeting Android 15 and above. Unity sets Tapjoy SDK 14.1.0 as the minimum.
-
Unity moves the Tapjoy publisher dashboard into the Unity Dashboard. The legacy dashboard is to be deprecated later.
- Latest
Unity closes the direct demand business of the ironSource Ads network. LevelPlay mediation and the ironSource Exchange continue.
Unity’s documentation also uses the name Unity Offerwall, and it guides publishers of the older ironSource Offerwall onto Tapjoy. None of this means Tapjoy is closing. It changes where you manage your wall, and a platform move is a natural moment to compare options.
Why do publishers look for a Tapjoy alternative?
Four reasons are common: Tapjoy’s move into Unity Grow, a need for a web wall that sits alongside the app wall, a wider offer mix for reward audiences, and a second network to raise fill and compare payouts. The first is specific to Tapjoy. The other three apply to any single-network setup.
-
Your wall now lives in the Unity Dashboard
Since the February 2026 rebuild, you manage Tapjoy inside Unity Grow. If the rest of your stack is not on Unity, a standalone publisher dashboard can be simpler to run.
-
Your users earn on the web too
GPT and reward sites need a web wall as much as an app wall. Torox runs one wall across your site, your apps and your own interface through the API.
-
You want offers beyond games
Reward audiences complete surveys, try finance apps and shop as well as play. Torox’s Q1 2026 data spans six verticals, from surveys to fintech. See the offerwall eCPM benchmarks by vertical.
-
You want a second network to compare
Two walls side by side show you which offers your users complete and what each network pays for them. You can add Torox next to your current wall and test before you move traffic.
How does Torox compare with Tapjoy?
Both networks reward your users for completing offers, and both integrate with Adjust, AppsFlyer and Singular. The differences are in how you integrate and who you work with. Torox gives you a web wall, SDKs and an API under one publisher account. Tapjoy is SDK-led inside Unity Grow, with a web wall documented alongside it.

Tapjoy details come from Unity’s public documentation and product pages, checked on 30 September 2026. “Not publicly listed” means we could not find the information there on that date. It does not mean the feature is missing. If something changes, email us at marketing@torox.io.
When might Tapjoy suit you better?
If your game already uses Unity for ads or mediation, Tapjoy keeps your offerwall in the same Unity Dashboard. Its currency sales, which Unity says can raise rewards up to 10 times the standard offerwall amount, suit games with a deep in-app purchase economy. If that describes you, test both before you move traffic.
How long does it take to switch to Torox?
Integration takes about 2 hours on any of the three paths. A web wall embeds on a page you control, an SDK wall goes live with your next app release, and an API wall puts offers in your own interface. Keep your old wall’s callbacks live for 90 days, as Unity advises for its own migrations.
Web wall
For GPT and reward sites. Nothing to install.
- Create a publisher account and add your site.
- Copy your wall link or embed code.
- Place it on your earn page.
- Set your reward callback URL and test a conversion.
Integration timeAbout 2 hours
SDK wall
For Android and iOS apps, including Unity, React Native and Flutter builds.
- Create a publisher account and add your app.
- Add the Torox SDK to your build.
- Open the wall from your store or earn screen.
- Set your reward callback, test, and ship with your next release.
Integration timeAbout 2 hours
API wall
For teams that want offers inside their own interface.
- Create a publisher account and get API access.
- Fetch offers from the Torox offer API.
- Render them in your own design.
- Credit users through reward callbacks.
Integration timeAbout 2 hours
Switch without losing a single reward
Run both walls while you test. On switch day, stop showing offers from the old wall, but keep its reward callbacks live so every offer a user started still pays out.
How should you compare offerwall networks?
Compare revenue per 1,000 daily active users, not eCPM on its own. Revenue per 1,000 DAU equals reach, times impressions per reached user, times eCPM. A network with a lower headline eCPM can still earn you more if more of your users open the wall and find offers they can complete.
Worked example with illustrative figures, not Torox data
| Network | Reach | Impressions per reached user | eCPM | Revenue per 1,000 DAU |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Network A | 10% | 3 | $300 | $90 |
| Network B | 15% | 3 | $220 | $99 |
Network B earns 10% more per 1,000 daily active users, with an eCPM 27% lower.
For a real reach figure: when RollerCoin added the Torox wall, 45% of its users visited it, according to the RollerCoin case study.
Ask any network you test, Torox included, for all three inputs from your own traffic. For vertical benchmarks, read the offerwall eCPM report from Torox Intelligence.
Which reward platforms use Torox?
Torox has published case studies with three reward platforms. Prodege, which owns Swagbucks, saw earnings per click rise fivefold and ad revenue rise 40%. Qmee’s ARPDAU rose 25%, and RollerCoin’s revenue rose 300% after it added the Torox wall to its game.

What other Tapjoy alternatives should you look at?
If you are building a shortlist, these five networks appear in many offerwall comparisons. Descriptions come from each company’s own site or public announcements, checked 30 September 2026. We have not tested them against Torox, so ask each one for the same three inputs.
| Network | What it offers | Worth a look if | Source |
|---|---|---|---|
| adjoe | Playtime rewards, which pay users for time spent in partner games and apps. | Your users are mostly mobile gamers. | adjoe.io |
| AdGate Media | Offerwall and rewarded advertising for websites and apps. Owned since July 2022 by Prodege, the company behind Swagbucks. | You want a network tied to a large rewards platform. | Prodege |
| ayeT-Studios | Offerwall, survey wall and rewarded video, with a web wall, Flutter and React Native SDKs and an offer API. | You want surveys and offers from one provider. | ayeT SDK docs |
| MyChips | Offerwall for mobile games, acquired by Mistplay from MAF in May 2026. | You want a wall tied to Mistplay’s rewarded play platform. | PocketGamer.biz |
| RevU | Offerwall and surveys for iOS, Android, Unity and the web, integrated by link rather than an SDK. | You want to avoid adding another SDK. | revenueuniverse.com |
What else do publishers ask about switching from Tapjoy?
Not covered here? Email Guy Hanin at guy@torox.io.
Is Tapjoy still available to publishers in 2026?
Yes. Unity markets the Tapjoy offerwall and documents it under Unity Grow, where it also uses the name Unity Offerwall. Since 1 February 2026 you manage it from the Unity Dashboard, and Unity says the legacy Tapjoy dashboard will be deprecated at a later date. Check Unity’s documentation for current eligibility.
Can I run Torox and Tapjoy at the same time?
In most cases, yes. Torox does not ask for exclusivity, and many reward sites list several offerwalls side by side. Check your Tapjoy agreement for any exclusivity terms, place both walls in your earn section, and compare revenue per 1,000 daily active users for each before you move traffic.
What happens to rewards users started on my old offerwall?
Keep your old wall’s reward callbacks live after you switch. Unity’s migration checklist tells publishers leaving the ironSource Offerwall to keep listening and rewarding for 90 days. Apply the same rule when you move to Torox, so no user loses currency they have already earned.
Does Torox work on websites as well as apps?
Yes. Torox offers a web-based offerwall, a mobile SDK offerwall and an API, so the same offers can run on your site, in your apps or inside an interface you build. That suits GPT and reward sites whose users earn on both web and mobile.
How and when does Torox pay publishers?
Torox pays publishers once a month on net-30 terms, by bank transfer or PayPal. You do not need to prepay or commit to a minimum term to start. Your publisher manager can confirm the payment threshold and currency options for your account before you integrate.
Do offerwalls meet Apple and Google store rules?
They can, when the wall is optional. Apple’s guideline 3.2.2 says apps must not force users to rate, review or download other apps to use the app, while allowing incentives for actions inside it. Keep the wall opt-in, never gate core content behind it, and check Google Play’s current policies before launch.
How did we compare Torox and Tapjoy?
We compared what Unity publishes about Tapjoy with what Torox publishes for its own publishers. Tapjoy details come from unity.com, docs.unity.com and Unity’s blog, checked on 30 September 2026. Torox details come from torox.io and the Torox publisher team.
We left out eCPM, fill rate and revenue share, because Unity does not publish them for Tapjoy and we will not estimate them. Case study figures are as reported in each Torox case study.
